Christmas themed Poplar miniature railway

Our Poplar Miniature Railway has become a firm favourite over the years since it opened with customers coming from near and far to take a ride around our gardens.

The arrival of the festive season gives us a chance to pull out all the stops and decorate the gardens with a whole host of Christmas themed characters. Make sure that you give Santa and Rudolph a wave as you go round and see if you can spot the snowman.

Suitable for visitors of all ages but especially for young children, our beautiful line runs for 350 yards from the station in front of the play area.

The railway is open everyday from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 3.30pm on Sunday, weather permitting. (Excludes Christmas Day and Boxing Day when the garden centre is closed.)

Please note that the Christmas trains operate until Sunday 4th January 2026, after which the railway will be closed for winter maintenance until Saturday 14th February.
