Coronation Specials In Our Restaurant

To kick start the week leading up to the Kings Coronation, the chefs here at Poplar Nurseries have come up with a weekly sample of specials enjoyed personally by our King Charles III. 

King Charles III is known for his love of organic produce and supporting local producers, with carbon neutrality and sustainability at the forefront of his mind. Poplar Nurseries too are all about the same underlining factors the King keeps close to his heart. 

Nathan our head chef along with his team have designed a sample of specials which we will be offering in our restaurant from Monday 1st May leading up to the Saturday 6th May, His Royal King Charles III Coronation.

The Specials will be available from 11.30am to 3pm Mon-Sat, we will have limited dishes, so please arrive to the restaurant earlier enough to avoid disappointment. 
Monday 1st May
Eggs Royale 

Scottish oak smoked salmon and wilted spinach served on a traditional English breakfast muffin, topped with a runny poached egg and hollandaise sauce

Tuesday 2nd May 
Wild Mushroom Risotto 

Foraged wild mushroom and smoked garlic creamy risotto served with a dressed wild rocket salad topped with parmesan served with garlic bruschetta

Wednesday 3rd May 
Lamb Skewers 

Garlic and herb marinated lamb skewers chargrilled and served on a bulgur wheat, roast red pepper, sun blushed tomato and black olive salad with Greek yoghurt and mint dressing

Thursday 4th May
Salmon Omelette  
Scottish oak smoked salmon, slow roasted herb, tomato and feta omelette served with local hand made toasted sourdough and dressed watercress salad

Friday 5th May
Roast Salmon 
Line caught Scottish salmon supreme baked with a lemon and herb crust served on sautéed new potatoes with a minted pea puree and homemade hollandaise sauce

Saturday 6th May
Coronation Chicken Salad 
Curry marinated chargrilled British chicken breast served on a crunchy mixed leaf salad with spiced sultanas, fresh coriander, diced red onion tossed through a mango dressing
