New Poplar Food Hall
We are hugely excited about the forthcoming opening of our new Poplar Food Hall in early spring. It doesn’t seem possible that it is ten years since our original Farm Shop opened it’s doors in early 2010! Since then we have established a regular customer base who enjoy the experience of shopping in our relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Space in the original Farm Shop has always been quite limited and we are looking forward to being able to bring you much larger and varied selections of produce including our usual seasonal fruit and vegetables, fresh local bakery bread and sourdough as well as staple pantry items.
Mandy Cowan and her team are all passionate about food and are really looking forward to getting into the kitchens and creating lots of new mouth watering recipes for the counters. Look out all the usual favourites as well, including our famous traditional and gourmet sausage rolls and even more of our fantastic homemade cakes!
With more available space we plan to expand our selections of local wines, beers and spirits as these have proved to be very popular in recent years, offering something for everyone including vegan and gluten free alternatives.
The new Food Hall will be the perfect place to stop by if you are looking for gifts - look out for delicious local handmade chocolates as well as plenty of cooking inspiration ideas and we will even stock some cards and wrap to enable you to find everything under one roof.
We will also be offering a new take away service for tea, coffee, fresh juices and smoothies, which we are sure will be popular with thirsty shoppers!
There will be direct access to the new Food Hall from the rear car park where we have also allocated further disabled parking bays to make it easier for less abled customers to visit us directly.
We are pleased to announce that Young’s Fish will be with us on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s when the new Food Hall opens. Young’s are also a family run business of three generations based in Ipswich, Suffolk. They have been serving the people of Suffolk and Essex quality fresh fish and shellfish for over thirty-five years.
