DONATE YOUR OLD BIKE AT OUR CHARITY BIKE COLLECTION EVENT.

We are pleased to announce that Re-Cycle will be here at Poplar Nurseries to collect unwanted bicycles on Wednesday 29th July from 10am to 2pm.

This UK based charity prevents bikes from going to landfill by refurbishing and shipping them to communities in Africa where they provide crucial access to education, healthcare and employment.

Re-Cycle was founded by Merlin Matthews, a university student in Mersea, Essex in 1997 and the first shipment of the first Re-Cycle container was in July 1998. Re-Cycle moved to Moorside, Colchester in 2005 which provided a solid foundation for its operations. From its beginning in 1997 Re-Cycle has shipped over 140,000 bicycles to partners across Africa.

Re-Cycle have a zero-waste mindset, meaning that no bike goes to landfill. Every component is given a second life - whether it is fitted to a refurbished bike or recycled responsibly.
