Ideal for shady areas, Erythronium Dens-Canis (Dog's Tooth Violet) is the perfect little plant for shady areas of the garden. They are ideal for rockeries, borders, under trees and shrubs or in containers for terraces and balconies where they will produce their beautiful nodding flowers in March/April.
Erythroniums like rich garden soil with plenty of leaf mould and prefer a shady area.
Plant immediately after purchase - do not let the bulbs dry out.
Avoid lifting and dividing until absolutely necessary. When it does become necessary do so immediately after flowering and replant straight away. Do not wait until the foliage has died back.
