Plant these show stopper Fritillaria Crown Imperials in the garden this autumn and you will have fabulous garden displays in springtime.
Plant as a focal point between shrubs in the border.
They prefer full sun and well drained soil that is preferably alkaline and enriched with leaf mould or compost.
The bulbs are best planted on their sides to prevent water collecting in the hollow of the bulb.
Grit should be placed around the bulbs within the planting hole if the Fritillarias are being planted in heavy soils.
Flowers: April/May.
Flowering height: 70cm (28").
BULBS MUST NOT BE EATEN.
