How to care for and propagate ferns

How to care for and propagate ferns

Ferns thrive in a humid environment with indirect light, so they are a great choice for the shadiest or partially shaded areas of your garden. To ensure healthy growth, keep the soil consistently moist, without overwatering, by using well-drained, rich soil. When propagating ferns, you can either take a cutting from a healthy plant or collect spores from mature fronds. Sow the spores onto moist soil, or divide the plant, placing it in a humid space to encourage new growth. With proper care, your ferns will flourish and continue to enhance your garden.
