We pride ourselves on our beautiful houseplants and our great selection, something for everyone, from African violets to Zamioculcas.
It has been proven that there are added health benefits to having houseplants in our homes, they reduce carbon dioxide levels and some species also remove chemicals found in furniture, carpets and paints.
Orchids are a popular favourite and we have a fresh supply every week. They can flower for several months at a time, making them a long lasting alternative to cut flowers.
Our houseplant dept have a large selection of flowering and foliage plants and well as cacti, succulents, terrariums and at this time of the year in the lead up to Christmas many planted baskets.
Our Christmas Poinsettias are now available in a variety of colours, together with selections of festive indoor planted baskets and containers.
Poinsettias are cheery plants that are widely grown indoors over Christmas for their brightly coloured bracts. Please note that Poinsettias do not like the cold. Our Poinsettias are carefully wrapped in a protective sleeve to protect them from the cold on the journey home. Poinsettias need bright, but filtered light, away from strong sun and draughts. They need a minimum temperature of 13-15°C (55-59°F). Water poinsettias sparingly as overwatering can damage plants. As a rule of thumb, only water when the surface of the compost has begun to dry out. The flowering life of plants is extended by humidity, so mist plants regularly.
