Aesculus x carnea Briotii (Red Horse Chestnut) is a compact, dome-headed, large tree that has a densely leaved habit with deep pink flower bracts.
Glossy brown 'conkers' are enclosed in smooth or slightly spiny husks in autumn.
Available at Poplar Nurseries, this variety is resistant to 'Chestnut leaf miner'.
Height and spread after ten years: 6m x 3m (20ft x 10ft).
